At Straumann Indochina, I work as a Customer Service Specialist. I have the opportunity to hone my skills in a completely new environment. However, I found that a large amount of the daily operational tasks I do are repetitive activities that take me a lot of time to process. This was causing me to feel overwhelmed and affecting the quality of my work.
I tried to learn how to automate these tasks on my own, but I found that most of the tutorials I found required the intervention of an ABAP team. This would have been time-consuming and expensive for my company.
One day, I serendipitously learned about Power Platform by Microsoft. I started to fumble to implement a few automation processes with robots (Robotics Process Automation – RPA) thanks to Power Automate. I spent 1 hour of lunch break every day to watch video tutorials on YouTube and follow them. I tested a lot but also failed a lot, then went online to read to find out why it failed, repeating it over and over again, wasting a lot of time because the instructions were quite long-winded and not accurate but what I need.

I started looking for a course, but for a long time I still couldn’t find a suitable center to study, even though there were quite a few RPA courses, even some courses that my lecturers had also taken. At the end of October 2023, I received an email from Bi-Lab Center – University of Economics and Law and NGIG Institute introducing the SAP & Robotics Process Automation training course. I decided to register immediately. I had previously participated in 03 SAP courses at Bi-Lab, including M01 (SAP Overview), M03 (Sales and Distribution), and M06 (Production Planning). I found the training method of the Center suitable for me, the lecturers and the teaching assistants were also very cute, so I trusted to register for both P01 (Power Automate) and P02 (Power Apps) courses.
The course really met my expectations. I have applied the contents of the lesson to automate work every day at the company. The lecturers have good preparation share the direction, and summarize the concepts and functions I need for real combat. Students are given SAP and Microsoft accounts to practice throughout all classes. Thanks to the guidance of the teachers, I have understood how to use the features of Power Platform correctly to solve problems, completely different from the feeling of being vague before. In addition to organizing online, the class is also organized directly in District 1, so I like it very much and attend every class.
"In the near future, I plan to continue building Power Apps for my company, automate as much as I can. Now I am confident to register to join Strawmann's Power Apps Regional Project Team."
Having the opportunity to interact directly with the teachers, I feel that the learning is more effective and focused. I am the youngest in the class, the seniors in my class are all working with the position of IT leaders in general and SAP in particular at large enterprises in Vietnam and multinational corporations. The exchanges and discussions of everyone helped me to expand my perspective on solving problems quickly and more effectively.
In the near future, I plan to continue building Power Apps for my company, automate as much as I can. Before, I have always done it and applied it to my personal work, but after graduating, I am confident to register to join the Power Apps project team in the region to contribute to the development of the corporation.
